Rambling Dave's Apology

Bright and early (6AM) Sheryl and I met with Rambling Dave Scharf and Rob Suskey at the C95 broadcasting offices. We presented Dave with the finished book of Sam the Dog and received our apology for the "glorified sticker collector" remark.

Dave will be sending the sound clips to me and I will upload them here when they arrive.

It was really cool to see the guys in action and how things are done. Certainly not the image that was in my mind from the "Media".

I wanted to give you a little sneak peek of the first technique that I am going to share with you later tonight.......... assuming that I don't get wrapped up in my latest project which I think is super cool.

Over the next few days I will be giving you the basic techniques for making some of my projects.

Have an awesome day!

Saskatchewan Crops

I snitched this photo from Leica's blog and I am pretty sure that it was taken by Karen. This is all the Just Cre8 gals and the instructors that I did the little memo books for.

I have had lots of people say that they would like one too. Well I can't do them all but for three lucky people I will customize one for you. Leave your comments below then on April 4th I will use the random generator to draw three lucky numbers.

Let me know what you would like me to share more of whether it is techniques projects etc. Spring is in the air and I feel some changes going on.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Excitement All Around

The past couple of weeks have been very exciting on so many levels.

I have been accepted into Creative Escapes 2009......... that alone was so awesome. Then Graphics 45 accepted the Journey layout that I did about Bob to their Gallery. Today they accepted the following album cover that I did for Allison Orthner

An email from Tim Holtz telling me that he admired the way that I used his products..... wow talk about a head rush. Now I am sure that he says nice things to all that submit work to him but It is still pretty cool to have that personal note from him.

Then there has been the week of taking Rambling Dave from C95 to task for calling Scrapbookers "Glorified Sticker Collector's". I heard Dave say this last week on his morning show and I must admit I took exception and made sure that those associated with the Just Cre8 Community knew.

Poor Dave was challenged over and over to join this past Saturday at Leica Forrest's Saskatchewan Crops weekend. Well he finally succumbed to the pressure and agreed to join us and he logged into the Just Cre8 community.

He learned that there was a lot more to Scrapping than he ever dreamed of. I created for him the memo book below and the Attendees at Saskatchewan Crops dove in and contributed on a joint project of creating a mini album about Sam the dog whom recently crossed over the rainbow. I am honoured to be joining Sheryl later this week to present to him the finished album.

Of course I had the fun and excitement of spending the past weekend with many of my gal pals cropping and shopping and visiting (but not necessairly in the order listed). Sue and Lori joined us from Ontario, Jacqueline, Jackie, and Allison from Alberta, Jill and Laura Lee from Manitoba. I love these oppurtunities they are mentally refreshing and inspirational so yes Jackie you will be seeing my submissions to your Wonderful Magazine Canadian Scrapbooker in the coming weeks.

I feel like I am floating on a cloud with scrapbooking and where I can see some potential for growth as I sit down and set some serious goals for myself.

I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Well I have access to a computer for a few moments and I wanted to quickly share with you some please note just some of the altered memo books that I made for Saskatchewan Crops this coming weekend. I wanted to have each of these ladies know that they are truly appreciated for how they inspire me.

At the end of last week I had one of my layouts accepted to the Graphics 45 gallery, it was wonderful to see my work posted there. I am hoping that this week you will see the four memo books, a card and my Count down to Create calendar also hit there galleries.

Lots of things happening in my world some good and some not so good. So I look at the good things and enjoy them thoroughly and know that the bad will pass and be replaced with more good times.

I am hoping to begin a new series of tutorials in May taking the month of April to prepare them. I love to use many of these techniques and hope that by sharing them you realize that you can do them too.

Remember that a photo is worth a million words.
